Paul and his collaborator are invited to Regina to create/manipulate site specific, endurance performance works based on series of 12 performances created in Toronto and Poland. A playful, beguiling series of performance works, Duorama speaks to the notions of relationships. Hovering between competition and collaboration, Johnson and Couillard might fill a room with balloons one day and paint a window with molasses the next. The couple present a new piece each day, underlining both tense and tender moments. Duorama will be presented in the gallery with possible offsite interventions. While about relationships, the work can also be read in terms of queer politics.
