Neutral Ground is delighted to announce that we will be launching a “Textile & Fibre Circle” through February to March, 2025.
These sessions will be accompanied by various workshops instructed by local artists.
February 13th, 6-8 pm – Mental Health Floss, Jessie Dishaw
Anyone with any level of expertise in textile is welcome to participate, no prior experience is required!
Jessie will be facilitating the creation of a unique piece of textile art with an important theme reminding us that there is always sunshine above the clouds, no matter how cloudy some days may seem. The work will incorporate embroidery and felt applique.
Jessie Dishaw is an artist and educator based in Regina, Sask. Her art practice focuses on mental health issues and the challenges she faces as an individual with an invisible illness (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder). She has worked in many mediums but holds a special affinity for textiles and needlework.
