NEUTRAL GROUND CELEBRATES TEN YEARS OF PROGRAMMING

Neutral Ground Artist-Run Centre would like to invite you to their 10th year anniversary celebration.

A number of exciting events have been scheduled. The exhibition in the gallery entitled Ten Years Now is a member exhibition which centres around the theme of ten years. Each artist has selected two pieces of their own art, one from 1982 and one from 1992. The idea illustrates the change which has occurred within each artist’s work over the past decade and it also enriches the notion of diversity within our Neutral Ground membership.

In commemoration of the raft from 1982, we are going to bring a pieces of the original sod used on the raft, into the gallery space. In the area where the sod is removed, a time capsule will be buried. It will contain a collection of objects from our membership and will be reopened in ten years time.

Opening ceremonies will take place at Neutral Ground on Saturday, September 26, at 8:00pm.

Wendy Peart will begin with a performance at 8:00 p.m. sharp and Daron Sibelius will follow immediately after. Opening Remarks will be made by Doug Townsend, Visual Arts Officer for the Saskatchewan Arts Board. Following these events there will be a reception that is open to the public. Come and join the celebration!
