Stitch n’ Bitch

Textile & Craft Circle:

Stitch n’ Bitch
Melanie Monique Rose
March 13, 2025 | 6-8 PM

Neutral Ground is delighted to announce that we will be launching a “Textile & Fibre Circle” through February to March, 2025.

These sessions will be accompanied by various workshops instructed by local artists.

March 13th, 6-8 pm – Stitch n’ Bitch, Melanie Monique Rose

Anyone with any level of expertise in textile is welcome to participate, no prior knowledge is required!

Join visual storyteller and artist Melanie Monique Rose for a needle felting workshop. Melanie will share some of the themes and stories of her felting practice that are seen in her series, The Flower People. Together we will have the opportunity to create our own one of a kind needle felted artwork – inspired by Melanie’s floral moons.

Melanie Monique Rose is a Metis/Ukrainian visual artist from Regina, Saskatchewan Treaty 4 Territory, a citizen of the Metis Nation of Saskatchewan, and a long-time contributing member of Sâkêwêwak Artists’ Collective Inc. Rose’s work centres on kinship and relationships between the land, ourselves and each other. Through plants and flowers Rose invites transmissions of ancestral knowledge and teachings while also imagining and creating a de-colonial future through the lens of Metis worldviews.
