March 19, 2019
Neutral Ground will be hosting another meeting of the Critical Reading Group on Tuesday March 19th, 2019, from 6 – 7:30pm
Neutral Ground’s Critical Reading Group explores challenging critical texts in a supportive and communal environment. The goal of NGCRG is to bring the reading of these texts into a space where we can help each other through them, and offer one another different perspectives on the ideas we encounter.
On March 19th, the group will discuss two texts selected by artist Jason Baerg, in conjunction with his solo exhibition ᓭᓭᓯᐤ / Sêsêsiw / Yellow Legs:
– “Indigenous Climate Change Studies: Indigenizing Futures, Decolonizing the Anthropocene”, by Kyle Whyte &
– “Survivance: Narratives of Native Presence”, edited by Gerald Vizenor.
You can find the articles online, or in our shared Google Drive folder titled here (both articles labeled Week 10):

This event is free and open anyone who would like to join. Come have a snack, discuss the articles, and take a look at Jason Baerg’s wonderful exhibition.
~Hope to see you there!~
