Commitment to Anti-Racism

In Solidarity

Neutral Ground stands in solidarity with those protesting anti-black racism and police brutality, in the United States, Canada and around the world. We recognize that we are anything but ‘neutral’ in the fight for greater equity, diversity and inclusion in the contemporary art world, and beyond.

We recognize the impact of hundreds of years of systemic racism, and violence against Black people, Indigenous people, and people of colour.

We demand justice in the deaths of Regis Korchinski-Paquet, George Floyd, Tony McDade, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, David McAtee and too many others whose lives have been taken due to systemic racism and a pervasive culture of white supremacy in the U.S as well as in Canada.

As an artist-run-centre, Neutral Ground looks to artists, writers and community leaders who work for justice and equity in our community and beyond.

To our community members who may be experiencing hurt and emotional pain right now, we are with you. Black Lives Matter.
